Every action has a consequence, some can be bad but some can be good. A good example of a good consequence would be trying ultra hard in a competition and then winning first place, or grand champion. Imagine you’re running a show, you’re halfway through when all of a sudden you forget the next set. Where are you going? You take four steps back and BAM! You run right into a 6-foot metal bar. That’s when you realize that it was your fault, you shouldn’t have forgotten. It was your fault that you couldn’t remember, and the consequence was an orange Spartacus pole right to the face. That happened to me, my mouth was bleeding for roughly an hour.

Let’s imagine you have just tried your hardest, marching a competition. When it’s over everyone believes they should be first place, no one believes that they should lose, even if they feel they did badly. When you get out of your sweaty, kelly-green uniform and walk to the football field, you get a sense of pride, feeling as if you should win. You sit down and wait for the announcers to pick up the microphone, you throw in a couple cheers to get spirits flowing, but then the mic buzzes. “Welcome to the 2018 band festival!” The announcer states, ” Congratulations to every band on a successful competition!” Everyone cheers and the third, second and first place winners are announced. You are really upset because you thought you did good, but you believed you lost. “Grand Champion goes to, Litchfield!” You were elated, you thought you had lost, but you did it! Hard work does pay off.

In the end, no matter how I explain it, how much I go into detail, you completely understand what I’m talking about. I could go on for days, explaining how it feels to win a competition after trying really hard or getting hit in the face multiple times over, but I won’t. Why? Simple answer, you already know. Ever failed a test because you didn’t study? Boom, actions have consequences. Screwed up what you were working on? Boom! Messed up your child’s lunch, forgot something, said the wrong thing. Boom! Boom! Boom! Things happen, just try to own up to your mistakes and realize that actions have consequences.

Wow that was you the one who ran in to the pole. That must of hurt and bleeding from one hour wow.
I think the same thing that consequence are good and bad it depend on the situation. It seems like you know what you are taking about and good luck on your next competition.

I totally agree that every action has a consequence. Especially when you did something bad and of course it has a negative consequence. This has happens to me a lot when I get frustrated with music. I tend to get impatient when I can’t get things right, so when I try again it comes out worse than before. But just as there are negative consequences, there are positive ones too. I know the feeling of winning after working so hard for something you love. It is one of the best feelings to have, and finally getting to see your hard work has paid off.

I like that fact that you brought in the marching band and used it to prove a point. Marching band does teach you a lot about consequences. I almost got hit too, and it wasn’t my fault. Other people’s decisions have consequences that can affect our lives too. Overall I liked the theme and lesson of your blog.
